Ideas in Baby Scrapbooking

Babies grow up fast. If you want to keep those memories alive and even look at them whenever you feel like, then baby scrapbooking just became your thing. Anyone can do scrapbooking. There are only three things that one needs to know in order to effectively undertake scrapbooking. These are organizing photos, planning layouts and claiming workspace. If you do these three well, you will be able to make excellent scrapbooks. If you have existing pictures, like many people do, and you want to make a scrapbook, here is what you do.

First of all, decide on your theme. Baby albums should be among the most special scrapbooks of all since they can include a lot of things. In baby scrapbooking, all the photos you have of your child will have a place in your scrapbook. Starting from the hospital, baby album themes can truly be memorable and unique. You can even make baby food labels with pictures of your baby trying out new foods for the first time. With so many expressions emanating from babies, the sky is the limit with what you can come up with. Think also of the different outfits of the baby; think of the themes you can come up with. The trick is to capture as much of their changing look as it happens because once it is past, it cannot be reenacted again. Try also to involve other family members into the project. They may have some interesting and bright ideas and insight into how to make the whole thing look great. A fresh eye gives one a new perspective to the whole baby scrapbooking experience and that is not always necessarily bad.

How do crop photographs to make them ready for the scrapbook? Use oval and circle sizing templates for a good look. The colored lines on the templates will provide clear guidelines that will help you to decide the size of the crop. Before you take the blade and start to actually cut the scrapbook papers, first practice on some papers. Run the blade through the template ensuring the cutting template separates from the other portion before lifting the photo or paper since doing it again exactly on the same lines is harder. Perhaps the hardest thing you will have to do is cut out damaged sections of a photo that are essential, such as a building or a person. However, you will do justice to your scrapbook if you do that. Baby scrapbooking is exciting since it involves something that will stay with us for the rest of our lives and sometimes over several generations. When it is well done, it will be remembered for a long time to come.
