I've been playing tennis ever since I joined my high school team more than a decade ago. I really enjoy the game, as it's a great way to stay in shape, fuel my competitive spirit, and have fun all at the same time. And while I certainly will never be a candidate for the ATP tour, I am a pretty good player at the local level. I've won a few tournaments at my club (both singles and doubles), and have been playing better than ever before. I attribute this recent success to my switch to Head tennis racquets.
I've always believed that athletes, like craftsmen, are only as good as their tools or equipment. Sure, there are those extremely talented professionals who could win even with shoddy equipment, but the rest of us mortals have to face reality. We often need a performance boost, and that's precisely what I get with Head tennis racquets. I've played with all the top brands before, so I'm well aware of what else is out there, and I can safely say that I've never felt this good when hitting a ball before. My Head tennis racquet gives me a unique combination of power and control, which suits my game perfectly. I'm hitting better shots than ever before, and racking up win after win.
Choosing the right Head tennis racquet was a bit difficult at first. That's because there are so many to choose from, all with a slightly different feel, different weight, different size, and different functions. Even though I'd been playing for such a long time, I didn't really know quite how to describe my style, so it was hard for the club pro to determine which one would be best for me. I actually had to sign up for a lesson with the guy so he could check out my playing style firsthand and recommend a couple of Head tennis racquets that he thought would suit me.
I ended up choosing the MicroGEL Monster model, which is a very popular Head tennis racquet for intermediate to advanced players. It has a large sweet spot, delivers tons of power, and gives me just the right amount of control without sacrificing in other areas. Weighing in at 10.4 ounces and measuring 27 inches overall, this particular model is a great size and feels very comfortable in my hands. I can't imagine going back to any other brand after using Head tennis racquets!
If your game needs improvement, of course you should sign up for lessons with a local pro so your technique, stroke, footwork, and other fundamentals can be evaluated. But don't forget to examine your equipment as well, and check out Head tennis racquets if you're looking for a change. There's a reason so many of the world's top players rely on this brand!
